WT-1 Weartech Cobalt Base Alloys Hardfacing Bare Rod (same as STELLITE® 1)

WT-1 Weartech Cobalt Base Alloys Hardfacing Bare Rod (same as STELLITE® 1)

WT-1 Wire and Bare Rod are a non-ferrous, cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy.
Description/Applications:
WT-1 Wire and Bare Rod have a carbon content of 2.3 percent, which gives it a relatively high volume of carbides within its structure.
This filler metal is recommended for applications involving severe abrasion accompanied by heat and/or corrosion with moderate impact, and retains wear resistance at high temperatures in excess of 760°C.
WT-1 filler metal is a hardfacing alloy possessing high abrasion and corrosion resistance for applications such as pump sleeves and rotary seal rings, wear pads, bearing sleeves and centreless grinder work-rests.
It can be machined with difficulty using carbide tools.
WT-1 bonds well with weldable alloy steels, including stainless.
This alloy is non magnetic and is not forgeable.

Typical Chemical Analysis %:
C 2.3, Cr 30, Co bal, W 13, Ni <3, Fe <3, Si 0.8, Mo <1, Mn <1.

Typical Mechanical Properties:
Typical Hardness: 48-59 Rockwell C
(GTAW Rockwell C 54 As Deposited, Oxy acetylene Rockwell C 53 As Deposited, GMAW Rockwell C 52 As Deposited)

Note: The typical hardness values listed above are for multilayer welds. Hardness values for single deposits will be lower because of dilution from the base metal.

Wire available in 15 kg spool and 1.2, 1.6, 2.4 mm diam.
Rods are available in diam. 2.4, 3.2, 4.0, 5.0, and in length from 14 inches (350 mm) to 12 feet (approx. 3.70 meters.)
Rods of longer lengths can be supplied on a special order basis.
