WT-12 Weartech Cobalt Base Alloys Hardfacing Bare Rod (same as STELLITE® 12)

WT-12 Weartech Cobalt Base Alloys Hardfacing Bare Rod (same as STELLITE® 12)

WT-12 Wire and Bare Rod are a non-ferrous, cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy.
Description / Applications:
This filler metal is recommended for metal to metal abrasion involving high temperature and/or corrosive media with moderate impact.
WT-12 is an alloy having high heat and corrosion resistance with excellent wear and abrasion resistance.
It is used for facing the cutting edges of long knives in the carpet, plastics, paper and chemical industries.
It can be machined using carbide tools.
WT-12 bonds well with weldable alloy steels, including stainless.
This alloy is non magnetic and is not forgeable.

Typical Chemical Analysis %:
C 1.4, Cr 29, Co bal, W 8.0, Ni <3, Fe <3, Si 1.5, Mo <1, Mn <1.

Typical Mechanical Properties:
Typical Hardness: 44-52 Rockwell C
(GTAW Rockwell C 47 As Deposited, Oxy acetylene Rockwell C 48 As Deposited, GMAW Rockwell C 40 As Deposited)

Note: The typical hardness values listed above are for multilayer welds. Hardness values for single deposits will be lower because of dilution from the base metal.

Wire available in 15 kg spool and 1.2, 1.6, 2.4 mm diam.
Rods are available in diam. 2.4, 3.2, 4.0, 5.0, and in length from 14 inches (350 mm) to 12 feet (approx. 3.70 meters.)
Rods of longer lengths can be supplied on a special order basis.
