WT-25 Weartech Cobalt Base Alloys Hardfacing Bare Rod (same as STELLITE® 21)

WT-25 Weartech Cobalt Base Alloys Hardfacing Bare Rod (same as STELLITE® 21)

WT-25 Wire and Bare Rod are a low carbon, tungsten strengthened, cobalt chromium alloy.
Description / Applications:
This tungsten strengthened cobalt-chromium alloy is the cast version of the wrought alloy L605.
A special low carbon version of Haynes Alloy #25 has been found to have exceptional thermal fatigue resistance and is useful for tools to work hot steel.
The alloy also resists hot metal on metal wear.
The deposited weld metal with WT-25 filler metal has an excellent strength, good oxidation resistance up to 980°C, very good sulfidation resistance, and relatively good resistance to wear and galling.

Typical Mechanical Properties:
C 0.1, Cr 20, Co bal, W 15, Ni 10, Fe <3, Si 1, Mo <0.5, Mn <1.5.

Typical Hardness: 16, 24 Rockwell C
(GTAW Rockwell C 20 As Deposited, GTAW Rockwell C 40 Work Hardened, GMAW Rockwell C 20 As Deposited)

Note: The typical hardness values listed above are for multilayer welds. Hardness values for single deposits will be lower because of dilution from the base metal.

Wire available in 15 kg spool and 1.2, 1.6, 2.4 mm diam.
Rods are available in diam. 2.4, 3.2, 4.0, 5.0, and in length from 14 inches (350 mm) to 12 feet (approx. 3.70 meters.)
Rods of longer lengths can be supplied on a special order basis.
