WT-1 Weartech Cobalt Base Alloys Hardfacing Welding Electrode (same as STELLITE® 1).

WT-1 Weartech Cobalt Base Alloys Hardfacing Welding Electrode (same as STELLITE® 1).

WT-1 Coated Welding Electrode is a non-ferrous, cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy.
Description / Applications:
WT-1 has a carbon content of 2.3 percent, which gives it a relatively high volume of carbides within its structure.
It is resistant to oxidizing and reducing atmospheres up to 1150 deg C. It has excellent strength at elevated temperatures that is maintained through aging characteristics occurring in the temperature range of 700 deg C to 1150 deg C.
This electrode is recommended for applications involving severe abrasion accompanied by heat and/or corrosion with moderate impact, and retains wear resistance at high temperatures.
WT-1 Welding Electrode is possessing high abrasion and corrosion resistance for applications such as pump sleeves and rotary seal rings, wear pads, bearing sleeves and centreless grinder work-rests.
It can be machined with difficulty using carbide tools.
WT-1 bonds well with weldable alloy steels, including stainless.
This alloy is nonmagnetic and is not forgeable.

Typical Chemical Analysis %:
C 2.3, Cr 30, Co bal, W 13, Ni <3, Fe <3, Si 0.8, Mo <1, Mn <1.

Typical Mechanical Properties:
Typical Hardness: 54 Rockwell C

Available diameter: 2.4 - 3.2 - 4.0 mm, other diam. on request.

Note: The typical hardness values listed above are for multilayer welds. Hardness values for single deposits will be lower because of dilution from the base metal.
