SIDER CuSn6 Phosphor Bronze MIG Welding Wire.

SIDER CuSn6 Phosphor Bronze MIG Welding Wire.

SIDER CuSn6 Phosphor Bronze MIG Welding Wire filler metal is a Copper-tin bronze cotaining aproximately 5% of tin and up to 0.35% of phosphorous, added as deoxidizer. Tin increasis wear resistence of the weld metal and slow the rate of solification by broadening the temperature differential between the liquidus and the solidus. This slower solidification increases the tendency to hot shortness.
To minimize this effect, the weld pool should be kept small and welding time as short as possible.
Phosphor-Bronze can be used to weld bronze and brass. it can also be used to weld copper if the presence of tin in the weld metal is not objectionable.

Applications:
- MIG welding of tin-bronze base metal.
- Overlay welding of steel
