Fe SGMo, 0.5% Mo low alloy Rods for GMAW of high tensile and creep resistant steels

Fe SGMo, low alloy Rods designed for GMA welding on 0,5% Mo high tensile and creep resistant steels up to 450° C.
Suitable for root pass on pipe welding, without backing gas.
Preheating and interpass temperatures of no less than 135° C must be used during welding, to avoid cracks.
Applications: Vessels, Boilers fabrication, Chemical and Petrochemical industry, Piping fabrication.
Shielding Gas: 100% Ar
Available in 2.0, 2.4, 3.2 mm. diam and 1000 mm. cut length rods embossed on each end for ease of alloy identification even after the rod is partially consumed, and in 5 kgs pacs.

C 0.08-0.12, Mn 0.90-1.3, Si 0.30-0.70, P 0.020, S 0.020, Mo 0.40-0.60, Ni 0.15, Cu 0.30

Tensile strength: AW >560 MPa - SR > 515 MPa
Yield strength: AW >460 MPa - SR > 400 MPa
Elongation E 5d%: AW >22 - SR >19
Charpy V-Notch Impact Properties:
Testing Temp. -20° C AW >47J - SR >47J
