ALLOY C-276 Welding Electrode

ALLOY C-276 Welding Electrode

Alloy C-276 Welding electrodes is a solid solution, nickel-molybdenum-chromium, corrosion-resistant alloy. This electrode is used for dissimilar welding between nickel base alloys and stainless steels, as well as for surfacing and cladding. Alloy C-276 Welding Electrode is also used as a matching composition filler material for welding alloy C-276 wrought and cast products. Due to the high molybdenum content this alloy offers excellent resistance to stress corrosion, cracking and pitting and crevice corrosion.
The electrodes provide excellent operability for groove and fillet welding in the downhand position and the electrodes through 3.2 size diameter are suitable for all position welding.
Power supply: direct current, electrode positive.

Typical Welding Current:
Ø 2.4 A 40-65 -- Ø 3.2 A 65-90 -- Ø 4 A 90-125 -- Ø 5 A 125-160

Typical Mechanical Properties:
Tensile Strength: MPa 650 (psi 95,000)
Elongation, (4d) % 20

Welding Electrodes are available in a variety of diameters: from 2.4 to 5 mm.
