HCS-Co Welding Electrode are used for surfacing steel clad with a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy.
The weld metal has excellent high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance up to 1100° C. Is workable by machine tools, and is work-hardening by mechanical shock also at high temperature.
It is widely used for surfacing forging tools, shear blades, pipes´ extrusion mandrels, valve seats, maintenance of "Hastelloy C" equipment, and in general, is used to surfacing part of equipment subject to mechanical and thermal stress and corrosion.
The high deposition coated electrodes HCS-Co, provide excellent operability easy slag removal for groove and fillet welding in the down-hand position.
Power supply: direct current, electrode positive.
Typical Welding Current:
Ø 2.5 A 80-100 -- Ø 3.2 A 110-150 -- Ø 4 A 130-190
