ALLOY X Welding Electrode

ALLOY X Welding Electrode

Alloy X Welding Electrode is a solid-solution-strengthened super alloy that combines very good high-temperature strength with very good resistance to oxidizing environments up to about 1095°C (2000°F), and good carburization resistance.
This electrode is used for the welding of alloy X and similar nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys. It is also used for surfacing of steel.
This alloy is one of the most widely used materials for fabricated or forged parts in gas turbine engines, and is also used in chemical and petrochemical plant, power plant and industrial heating applications.
The electrodes provide excellent operability for groove and fillet welding in the downhand position and preheating end/or postheating are not necessary.
The electrodes through 3.2 size diameter are suitable for all position welding.
Power supply: direct current, electrode positive.

Typical Welding Current:
Ø 2.4 A 40-65 -- Ø 3.2 A 65-90 -- Ø 4 A 90-125 -- Ø 5 A 125-160

Typical Mechanical Properties:
Tensile Strength: MPa 650 (psi 95,000)
Elongation, (4d) % 20

Welding Electrodes are available in a variety of diameters: from 2.4 to 5 mm.
