SIDER 650 Hardfacing Copper coated Mig wire for highly wear resistant surfacing exposed to impact and abrasion.

Application field:
SIDER 650 is universally used for Mig buildups on structural parts subject to high impact and abrasion. Main applications are rail tamping tools, percussion tools, tool holders, shredder hammers, parts of stone treatment industry, press moulds for production of abrasive parts. Also as final layer on hard Mn steel.
Machining by grinding is possible.

SIDER 650 has excellent welding properties, even and finely rippled bead formation and a very good slag re¬moval. High temperature resistant up to 350°C.

Hardness of the pure weld deposit: 55·60 HRC

Welding instruction:
Grind welding area. Preheating to 300° C is only necessary on massive structural parts.
Post weld heat treatment: 2h at 680°C If more than 3 layers are needed, weld buffer layers or buildups with SDER 350.
Shielding gas : 75% Argon/25% CO2 or 100% CO2 - 18·20 lit/min
