S4Mo Submerged Arc Cupper Coated Solid Wire

S4Mo is a submerged arc wire that is typically used to weld carbon and low alloy steels. It contains 1/2% Mo and elevated levels of Mn which make it suitable for stress relieved applications requiring 550 MPa tensile strength.
Designed for single or multipass wire for welding carbon and low alloy steels.
Produces good as welded and stress relieved impact toughness.
Weld metal tensile strength is in excess of 550 MPa.
Applications include pressure vessel fabrication and other similar welds which require postweld heat treatment.
Used with Flux 188F, 160F
Available in diam. 2.38, 3.17, 3.97 mm. In 27 kgs spool and 400 kgs drum
