GOUGING CARBON ELECTRODES RODS, POINTED and JOINTED
The carbon gouging electrodes are made of Copper-coated graphite. The gouging electrodes are available in a variety of shapes and diameters to meet the various applications. The electrodes gouging rods are designed especially for the air carbon arc metal removal process, which melts metal with an electric arc, then blows it away with a jet of ordinary shop compressed air. They offer excellent arc stability, superior metal removal rates, resistance to breakage, heat and oxidation, uniform diameter and clean slag free grooves. The Pointed Gouging Rods are used with DC(+) for manually cutting or piercing of scrap and removing faulty
welds. Jointed Gouging Rods
Having the added benefit of working without stub loss with each rod having male and female parts, can be used with manual and fully automatic torches.
